presentation dates from 2006 and was prepared for the workshop "The splendour of sculpture in European Cemeteries
/ Lo splendore della scultura nei cimiteri europei" (Verona, Italy, 28-29 September, 2006). The
presentation gives a general overview about sculpture in Portuguese cemeteries
during the Romanticist period, ranging in diversity from portraits to allegoric
statues, with examples by some of the best sculptors.
